I am seeing a lot more posts...

about quantum physics and the nature of the universe and its relationship to God.  These posts usually garner a lot of comments

Some people don't like the word God, mainly because they have an image of God impressed upon the most primitive portions of their brain in childhood. They think of the God of Moses or the God of Christ or of Buddha or of Allah, all the names of god. Some old white haired man with a beard. All the 'images' of God impressed upon us by religions. We'll come back to religions in a future post. But there are basic similarities to all religions in their most basic teachings.

All of them started with someone trying to explain the nature of the universe, which they had perhaps only intuited, although visions account for much of their source material. Of course, when the teacher or prophet or christ or chosen one started spreading his or her word, they were merely trying to explain things to folks who didn't have the vocabulary, or the understanding of the nature of the universe, to really be able to grasp exactly how big and powerful God is. So they mostly put human limitations on God. God had to 'sit' somewhere and 'look down' upon us. God judged people 'good' or 'evil' and sent punishments or rewards. Humans were 'made in God's image' and we were 'all His children'.  God was jealous. God was angry.

But all of these are human traits. And we need to acknowledge that God is most definitely NOT human.

It's really amazing how the same religions that say 'God created everything' also put limits on God by shackling them up in human physical and mental limitations, yes, I'm using 'pronouns'. Because God is neither male nor female, at least in human terms. God is everything. Literally.

Let us stop using the word 'God', ok.ay? I know that the word is tremendously triggering for some people, while for others, God is somehow bound by the physical laws of the universe. So when I use that term, there are automatic firewalls that come crashing down, cutting off all reasoning thought. Perhaps if we use a different word, a more scientific-sounding word, we'll be able to expand our understanding of how it all comes together. Because we are talking about science. Quantum physics, to be precise. Something triggered the Big Bang> You can say God if you want, if that doesn't clash with your idea of God.

I call it Source. As in Source of the Universe. As to the exact nature of Source, that I can only speculate. Source, of course, has no physical presence as we understand it. Source is pure Energy. Or pure Thought. Or (and this gets my personal vote) pure Love, which incorporates both Thought and Energy. Source is eternal and has no past or future. Source is outside the Universe. Source created the physical Universe, but Source is not inside the physical Universe. If anything, the Universe would be considered inside Source. So for those uncomfortable with the the word God, and the mental image the word brings up, you can join me in saying Source.

Source also has no human agenda. Source seeks only information. Experience. But when you are THE only being (and I use that term loosely)  of any kind, when you are, essentialy, everything there is in your universe, with no past, no future, only the eternal NOW, Experience is, by definition, limited. You are everything and Everything is You. (you can sing this; I did!) Now and always. Same as it ever was.

So, if it was me...

What I mean is, imagine you are this consciousness. What would you do? If it was me, I'd want to find a way to expand my experience beyond what I currently know. Perhaps I'd come up with the concept of 'other'. Something other than me, something I could not directly experience in my current state. Perhaps I'd come up with the idea of randomness. Of linearity. Of physicality.

Okay, what am I? I'm pure energy and I am in full control. I come up with an idea for an experiment. I will create, from pure energy, some very basic physical manifestations. And in creating these 'physical' manifestations, I realize that I have to put some limiting factors, some rules, as to how the 'physical' things I create can interact, mainly because it is a necessity when creating something physical.  Physical things can interact, and the laws of Physics define the limits of how they do it.

And so we get the Horrible Space Kablooie, or HSK as physicists call it.*

Now the HSK experiment was designed to start with the most basic of creations; the components of Hydrogen atoms, which quickly became hydrogen atoms and then evolved, guided by the laws of physics over billions of years, into what we know today. And it will keep evolving for billions more years until the heat death of the universe. Humans will be long gone before that time.  By that time, Source will have collected every bit of data from every bit of the universe, which is the goal of the experiment.

Okay so wait, How does Source, which is outside the universe, interact without an equally unimaginable amount of energy to he HSK? And interacting is not the point anyway, it's simply observing. How does Source get the data from inside the physical universe, when it cannot enter it?

That's what souls are for. Observing. Source needs an eye on the inside, in reality many billions of eyes. Source created these mini bits of itself, designed specifically to be able to enter and exit the physical universe, because of their ultra low energy. In comparison to Source, that is.

Souls can enter and leave the physical universe at will, and they can occupy anything physical. And they have and will continue to occupy anything physical. Not everything, I don't think, although it's possible.  There are definitely places on earth that souls have occupied, and places they continue to do so. I suppose it's possible for everything in the physical universe to be occupied by a soul, because how else would you gather the data about all those things' experiences?

But I think souls abandon some places, or are forced out by events. In some cases it would be like your house was washed away in a flood, and in some cases it would be like your house was infested with termites. So places that might once have been occupied by a soul or souls are no longer, due to planetary disruption or infestation.

Yes, I'm referring to humans as infestatious pests, because in many ways, we are.

Okay so bringing us to humans.

Source did not specifically set out to create humans. Source provided some raw materials and basic rules and the motivating HSK, with the understanding that this stuff and these rules were going to create a whole universe of random stuff, and keep interacting and creating and exploding and mixing every possible combination of the stuff, and eventually this led to organic life, at least here on earth, and then to sentience, animals and us.  Random combinations over billions of years.

But time is irrelevant to Source. It's all Now. Source doesn't need to have patience.

Souls inhabit living beings as well as places. I don't know if each blade of grass has a soul, or even if any whole lawn, which is interconnected by a root system,  contains a soul.  It's possible. But living things, for sure have souls in one way or another.  I'm not going to get into 'when' a living thing gets its soul. That's for another day. But souls indeed occupy all humans on earth, and they are experiencing everything that is possible to happen to and/or be done by sentient living beings.

Our connection to our own soul, our ability to recognize the divine in ourselves, has a direct impact on how we interact with the world and the other living things here. Those who can open up even the smallest awareness are rewarded with a sense of inner peace, often fleeting. More about this in a future post.

Okay, this part is important. Because the nature of the universe is to encourage randomness and uniqueness in every possible sense, humans can be cruel. This has nothing to do with the soul. It's the human mind, the electro-chemical activity and reactions in our physical brains that are fulfilling the 'every experience possible' mandate.  Source wants all experiences. Every possible outcome. Source, and the universe Source created for this experiment, isn't 'nice' or 'caring' or capable of any emotion or feeling. Source is completely impartial and objective. 'Bad' things happen in this universe. Suns explode. Things fall into black holes. Planets turn green with life and then everything dies a cold death. This means that, by design, 'bad' people are allowed to happen.

You've heard people described as 'soulless'.  Well that may be true or not, but since the soul has to experience everything to take back to Source, they can't all occupy 'nice' people. Some of them have to experience being the 'bad' person.

Souls make an agreement. A Soul Agreement, as some call it, in that they knowingly volunteer to occupy 'bad' people, and stay, gathering data, as long as that person lives. They also knowingly volunteer to occupy the victims of the 'bad' people. So all those six million people, killed in the Holocaust?  Six million souls volunteered for that. And one volunteered to be Hitler, and others volunteered to be Pol Pot, and Ghenghis Kahn and Atilla the Hun, and Vlad the Impaler. And all those who died in every plague, every war, every natural disaster, all those tortured children, rape victims, freak accidents, etc?  Every single one occupied by a soul bearing witness. Experiencing the suffering to bring back to Source when the bodies died. Because that's the whole point of the experiment, to gain every possible experience. And each experience is unique and therefore valuable.

So you see, God, or Source, does not cause these bad things to happen, and wouldn't prevent them if they could, because they are unique data and therefore necessary to the experiment. So understand this: Humans are going to be the way they are regardless of souls or source, because the universe... the experiment... is designed to allow that.

So it all just seems like a hopeless mess, and in some ways it is, but there's another way to think about it, and a way for you.. for anyone who wants to... to have control over at least a small part of our lives. And this begins with understanding the nature of the universe and the role of Source and Souls. And after that comes understanding how we can take that information and using our own sentient brains to 'create' at least a portion of our own lives.

That's for the next blog post.   Stay tuned!

*YES, they really do. They took the term from the Calvin & Hobbes cartoon strip. Look it up!
